About Me

A Passionate Earth Scientist and Educator

  C (cat + dog mom)

E (earth scientist)

             A (a dance teacher too!)

R (researcher)

         A (ambient music lover)

My journey begins as an 8th-grader in 2009 when I won first place in the 11th Annual Massachusett's State Science Fair (see 14-year-old me on the slideshow above...trust me you will know which one). This began my love for Earth Sciences, and I created my own wind turbine to power small appliances in my house. My love came to fruition when I won 1st place and subsequently got to be on local TV! Now, here I am today with my love ever stronger!

I have a B.S. in Earth & Environmental Science from Lehigh University. I have a Master's of Science in Oceanography from the College of Engineering and Physical Sciences (CEPS) at the University of New Hampshire at Durham. I began as a TA for two geology labs at UNH, and then began a long-term substitute in Earth Science 8th Grade for two years in NH to earn my certifications (Earth Science & Chemistry). At LCCPS, I am truly able to integrate my love for science and my equal love for working in urban communities. It has been the best experience of my life so far. I love teaching, and I have such a passion to help a diverse range of students learn!!!
